I, Dr. Manas Kumar Bhukta is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Haldia Institute of Technology, India, with close to a decade of academic experience. He holds a PhD from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, with specialization in Computational Fluid Dynamics, turbulence modeling, and finite element analysis. My academic background also includes an M.Tech in Fluid Mechanics from IIEST Shibpur. My research focuses on turbulent open-channel flows, recirculation zone modulation, multiphysics simulations, and open-source computational frameworks using tools such as FEniCSx and OpenFOAM. Prior to entering academia, he gained valuable industrial experience as a mechanical maintenance engineer, which informs his applied approach to teaching and research. He is actively involved in guiding students, developing CFD-based research workflows, and contributing to advanced numerical modeling studies.
